Lionel Jagessar Jr

    Lionel Jagessar Jr is the current CEO and Band leader of the largest traditional carnival costumed band and the longest consecutively running band in Trinidad & Tobago ‘Jagessar Costumes’.

    Lionel Jr. has been a tutor with the regional carnival division of the N.C.C for over 18years where he has tutored hundreds of students in the art of fancy Indian Mas.  He has also been competing in the King of the bands since 2005 with his designs and innovative concepts making it to the top 3 in the finals and wining the south title 3 times, most recently in 2020.

    Lionel Jr has represented T&T as cultural ambassador in many countries, most notably at the 2006 world cup in Germany and in Zimbabwe 2016. He has a well-rounded education holding certificates in Audio Engineering, Marketing, Psychology, Graphic Design, Iternational Marketing, Company Law and Land Law, while now perusing diplomas in Medical Lab Technician and Pharmacy Technician.

    He has real world working experience in the fields of security, retail management, painting, welding and steel fabricating, construction, event management, event décor, screen printing and most recently served as the TTCBA mas representative on the NCC Operations Committee.

    Lionel was elected to the TTCBA Board on 15th November 2020.
