Andrew Alleng was born on February 15th 1962 in Diego Martin and holds a Master, Financial Advisor (MFA). He is the Managing Director of JAI Services Ltd. Mr. Alleng is an Insurance Agent by profession for over forty (40) years and is currently with the Sagicor Group.
In 2004 his love for carnival and the culture led to the founding of a family-oriented children’s carnival band, Zebapique Productions, with his brother Anthony Alleng.
In 2006 the focus of the band moved to helping solve crime through culture.
He began using his love for the culture to give back to the children of Trinidad and Tobago by supplying costumes to the children of east Port of Spain.
In 2009, his focus was strengthened by a partnership with the Inter Agency Task Force and Hearts and Minds in the Police Service to establish relationships with a wider area of East Port-of-Spain. At present the band is involved with fifteen (15) areas around Port-of-Spain with the most generous help of Republic Bank Limited “Power to make a Difference” programme and the Ministry of National Security.
Mr. Alleng has been the band’s designer and wire bender since 2013 to present. At present Zepbapique Productions accomplishments over the years are:
- Three (3) Junior Queens Titles
- One (1) Band of the year
- Three (3) Junior King Titles
- Two (2) Individual of the Year Titles
- Multiple time Downtown Carnival winner
Mr. Alleng is married with one (1) daughter Jade Alleng who has won several Junior Queen Carnival titles with costumes designed by the legendary Mr. Stephen Derek.
In 2019, Mr. Alleng was honored with the title “Peace Ambassador” from the Academy of Universal Global Peace and United Nations University for Global Peace for the amazing work he has been doing with his children’s band within the East Port-of-Spain district.
Mr. Alleng was copted to the Board of the TTCBA in May 2019 and was recently elected as Vice President on 15th November 2021.
